With the hype for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Avengers: Endgame at its highest during the last few weeks, it’s no surprise to see that one fan decided to bring the two franchises together with an amazing video.

Over the last decade, Marvel has pumped out 20 films featuring dozens of characters that have all become pop culture phenomena in their own right.

With so many characters to work with, Marvel Studios has created one of the most iconic intros that plays before each of the studio’s movies.

The Super Smash Bros. franchise surely hasn’t been around as long as some of these Marvel characters but with over 70 characters available in the latest iteration of the game, the Smash Ultimate roster is certainly nothing to scoff at.

As such, Reddit user ‘nathanjyun‘ decided to bring these two worlds together in one of the coolest, and most well-made, mashups we’ve seen in quite some time.

Every character of the incredibly deep roster is in attendance set to the same music that Marvel fans have grown accustomed to over the last decade.

It would have been enough for nathanjyun to include the various character models in this video, but they took it one step further by adding in video clips from the various Smash Bros. stages and cutscenes that play throughout the video.

While they admitted to accidentally leaving in remnants of the Marvel intro in the form of the famous “I am Groot” phrase that can be seen over Kirby in this video, the final product is so good that no one seemed to notice the slight oversight.

Given that Smash Ultimate has only been out for less than a month at this point and the community is already coming up with awesome content like this, there’s no telling what kind of creativity we’ll see as time goes on.
