Overwatch fans can now pre-order a replica of Genji’s sword.
The latest addition to Blizzard’s line of Overwatch merchandise is a premium replica of the sword Genji wields for his ultimate ability, complete with LEDs and motion sound effects.
The sword costs $200 and is expected to ship by December 15th, in time for the holiday season.
The replica sword is nearly 47 inches long with a half-inch blade, and is made of PVC, ABS, alloy and electronic chips. The handle features a switch to light up the blade, and a button to trigger Genji’s iconic ultimate line, “Ryūjin no ken o kurae”. The sword also comes with a sheathe and a stand for display.
Genji’s blade is in rather distinguished company as far as Blizzard replica weapons are concerned, with previous examples including the likes of the Lich King’s Frostmourne and Thrall’s Doomhammer, both from the Warcraft universe,. Both are even more dear than Genji’s sword, so if you’re looking for a premium replica from a Blizzard title, this latest offering is something of a steal in comparison.
Blizzard’s description of the replica highlights that it’s not a toy – this is really a product designed primarily for display. For fans that want more interactive merchandise, Blizzard has teamed up with Nerf to produce Nerf Rival Overwatch replica guns, which are set to release in 2019. The first of the line, a replica of Reaper’s Hellfire Shotguns, was revealed in July.
The replica of Genji’s sword is now available for pre-order on the Blizzard store.
