Over the past 14 days, August 9 to 23, Fortnite viewership has been sinking while Minecraft has seen an uptick as many top streamers have switched over amid the BRUTE controversy.

Fortnite players are fed up with the mechs and they have begun to explore other games as they try to find something else to play.

Many top Twitch streamers, Counter-Strike just to escape the mechs and get a breath of fresh air.

Epic GamesBrutes have pushed Fortnite streamers to other games like Minecraft.

As a result, Fortnite viewership has begun to decline on Twitch while Minecraft’s has risen as the big names shifted.

CouRage, in particular, has especially liked playing Minecraft so there’s no telling if he’ll remain on that for the timebeing but it’s likely many other players will be back to Fortnite once it gets better.

However, numbers don’t lie and they’re showing that Fortnite hours watched since August 9 are just over 40 million, which is still a large number, but it’s down 23.5% compared to what it was two weeks ago according to SullyGnome.

Minecraft, on the other hand, has seen a major increase, up to over 15 million hours watched which is an increase of 28% from the past two weeks, also according to SullyGnome.

With the major BRUTE nerf, it’s possible Fortnite could see another uptick but that remains to be seen. Fortnite has been on the top of Twitch since its release and has been through many rough patches but always managed to stay afloat.

We’re looking at the release of World of Warcraft Classic at the end of August which will bring a lot of viewership and steal away streamers like Cloak, Tim, and DrLupo, all of whom said they will be playing so things might not get better for Fortnite right way.
