Hearthstone’s newest expansion ‘Rise of Shadows’ is officially on its way, and the cards that will soon be making their way to players’ decks have finally been released.
Blizzard officially announced that the Rise of Shadows expansion would be coming to the game back on March 14, and have wasted little time in giving Hearthstone fans a look at the new cards that will be included.
The Rise of Shadows expansion will launch on Thursday, April 9, and Blizzard will release a number of new cards every day in the build-up to the big release – with the final card of the deck released on Friday, April 3.
There will be two bundles for players to purchase at launch, the standard version which includes 50 Rise of Shadows card packs and a random legendary, or the mega bundle which includes 90 packs, an exclusive card pack, a random golden legendary card, and the Madame Lazul Priest Hero.

Rise of Shadows will bring more than just new cards for players to wield, but will also add a brand new keyword which could have huge impacts on the game’s meta.
For the first time, players will be able to use cards with the ‘Twinspell’ keyword, which means that when a player uses a spell with this on it, they will immediately receive another copy of the spell straight into their hand.
The copy card, however, won’t have the Twinspell ability like the first one, but having the ability to use a particularly dangerous card twice in one match could prove to be a huge evolution in the meta.
