Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most hotly anticipated games of 2018, but Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar is threatening not to play it at all!
The full-time streamer is one of the biggest names on Twitch and he’s not one to mince his words when he isn’t a fan of something in the gaming industry, like the capped frame rate in Red Dead 2!
The 31-year-old was discussing the upcoming game during a recent stream when he found out that the upcoming Rockstar Games title would be locked at 30 frames per second, and he wasn’t happy about it!
“Is Red Dead going to be 60 FPS? Because if it’s not I just won’t bother but I’m hoping it will be, I imagine it will be,” he said before reading the responses in his Twitch chat.
As the answers began flooding in, the streamer said: “You’re fucking kidding me. You’re fucking kidding me. It’s going to be 30?! I’m not even gonna buy it dude.”
Summit went on to say that he will wait for the game to be released on PC, but he could be waiting for quite some time as there has been no announcement about if, or when, that will happen.
“I can’t believe we live in a day and age in 2018 where people are okay with that,” he continued as the news of the game running at less than 60 FPS on console continues to settle in. “You guys are okay with 30 FPS? Like it’s fucking 2005? I’d boycott the fuck out of that game.”
Red Dead Redemption 2 is due to be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26 and the stunning gameplay trailers have gone down exceptionally well with most fans, 30 FPS or not.
Fans of summit will have to wait and see whether he reconsiders his decision to wait for the game to be released on PC so that they can watch him play the Western-themed action and adventure game.
