The esports events will begin with the “Challengers Series” on October 1, which will be online matches streamed on UMG’s Twitch channel.

Las Vegas will be the site of the MLB Fortnite Championship, a LAN event in December.

Caesar’s will host the Championship at their new esport venue, ‘The Wall.’

The timing of the Fortnite tournaments is curious as MLB’s biggest names and best players will still be playing baseball in October, with the MLB Playoffs beginning on October 2.

The names of the players involved will be announced closer to the tournament start date, however Minnesota Twins pitcher Trevor May is already confirmed to be participating.

The Twins hosted a “Fortday” on September 9 that featured May and BasicallyIDoWrk livestreaming from their Target Field stadium.

According to, Trevor May claims to have 16 hour gaming days during the baseball offseason.

The Milwaukee Brewers also have a few Fortnite fans on their roster and proved it by hijacking their stadium’s big screen scoreboard to run the popular game.
