Building walls is a common way for Fortnite players to defend themselves from the onrush of enemies, and therefore getting through those walls can be important for winning gunfights.
Reddit user ‘ImSpeedyGonzalez,’ who is known for his Fortnite tutorials, has posted a video in which he details three different methods players can use to get through their enemies’ walls.
This can be especially crucial since shooting through the walls in a regular manner can prove to be futile if the opponent is turbo building them from the other side.
The first method involves setting up a floor piece under the enemy wall, and then editing it to form a spiral pattern that goes through the structure. Then, pickaxing or spraying bullets at the wall will allow the player to phase through it, even if the opponent is turbo building the wall to keep it upright.
The next method described involves the same concept, but uses a reverse ramp instead of a floor piece. Standing on the angle of the reverse ramp and using a pickaxe rapidly shooting at the wall should cause the player to go through to the other side.
The final method requires the use of a pyramid/roof piece placed on the floor directly in front of the ramp. Just as with the other methods, standing on the roof piece and pickaxing or spraying the enemy wall will allow the player to phase through.
The Reddit user does wrap up the video with a few important points. He warns players to be weary when using these techniques to invade enemy 1×1 structures, since there is always the risk of getting trapped.
He also admits that the pyramid/roof piece technique is probably the most effective and potent, since the other methods either require time to edit, or force the player to turn their back for a split-second.
