A Fortnite Battle Royale community member has come up with a theory about villains, Hop Rocks, and road maps… and it might even be correct!
Season 4 of the Battle Pass for Fortnite Battle Royale brought a new theme with it as superheros and villains were added to the game and meteors came crashing down to earth.
The largest meteor hit Dusty Depot, turning it into “Dusty Divot” and leaving a massive crater and thousands of “Hop Rocks” (consumable items that give you low gravity).
However, the Hop Rocks can often be found in the back of trucks dotted around the map and one Reddit user named Vercyx is convinced that all of those trucks are headed to one specific villain headquarters.
The poster states that all of the roads lead to, or past, the base on the mountain next to Snobby Shores (although this doesn’t mean much with the roads in Fortnite) and he’s convinced it’s because the villain in charge is stealing the Hop Rocks for a specific purpose.
He believes that the Hot Rocks will be used to power the rocket located in the base, and others have hypothesized that the rocket’s launch will mark the start of Season 5.
Of course, a lot of the information here is circumstantial. As previously noted, the way that the roads are laid out on the Fortnite Battle Royale map means that saying the trucks can only be going to one place is stretching things.
However, there certainly seems to be some merit to Vercyx’s theory and now all we want in life is to see a purple glowing rocket blasting off to infinity and beyond with Omega in the driving seat.
