The tournament is separated into three phases: Local, Regional and National.

The Local Phase will consist of open tournaments held at 20 Microsoft stores in each of four different regions.

  • Central Region: October 19th
  • Southeast Region: October 26th
  • Northeast Region: November 2nd
  • Western Region: November 9th

Each local competition will be held from 5:00 – 10:00 PM in the store’s time zone.

People who want to participate must pre-register for the tournament, but that doesn’t guarantee a spot in the competition.

Competing in the event will be on a first-come, first-serve basis among people who already pre-registered. Check-in for the competition will begin at 3:30 PM on the day of the event.

Each store will allow 10 teams to compete. To participate, all players must be over the age of 14 and all equipment will be provided, but players can bring their own equipment if they prefer.

$3,000 are allotted for the top finishers in Phase One. Here is the link to pre-register.

Phase Two takes all the winners from each of the 20 stores in each region and puts them head-to-head for two matches in a private server.

These games will be held on the same day as the Phase One matches and will also include some invited teams who will be announced the week of the event. The top six teams from each region will move onto Phase Three and the top three teams will take home a share of $7,000 in prizes for each region.

Phase Three is the national competition. On November 10th, the qualifying teams will face off in five private server matches to crown a champion. The championship will have $15,000 on the line, bringing the total prize pool over all four regions and three phases to $55,000.
