American rapper Soulja Boy has been sentenced to 265 days of community service and 240 days in jail for violating his probation, after law enforcement discovered firearm ammunition at his California residence in early March – which could bring a swift halt to his proposed fight with Jake Paul.
Older brother Logan Paul took note of this development and pinged Jake via Twitter, writing, “Aye… I feel like this fight ain’t gonna happen.”
i’m bailing him out https://t.co/gU5eaXhrXC

However, Jake isn’t one to take “no” for an answer, replying that he would bail the rapper out of jail to settle their differences in the ring.
The story behind Jake Paul & Soulja Boy’s beef
Soulja Boy and Jake Paul began a highly-publicized beef in early February, after Jake tagged the rapper in a Tweet in the hopes of a potential boxing match.
Not one to be outdone, Soulja Boy responded in kind, claiming that he would knock Paul out.

This led to a heated Instagram Live conversation between the two shortly thereafter, with Soulja putting a whopping $20 million on their fight – which Paul agreed to in an interview with the Hollywood Fix three days later.
That wasn’t the end of their feud, by far; Soulja Boy later Facetimed Paul with an invitation for the YouTuber to “pull up” to his home, where things nearly got physical between the two.
Paul’s YouTube video on the subject shows the two eventually shaking hands on a boxing match, although no details about the fight have been forthcoming – prompting many fans to doubt if the match will ever happen, at all.
Will Jake Paul vs Soulja Boy ever happen?
While some speculated that Soulja Boy vs Jake Paul might take place at the KSI vs Logan Paul rematch in November, the rapper’s jail time could ultimately nullify this possibility, as his 240 day imprisonment period spans over an eight-month timeline: two months after the November rematch.
Soulja Boy isn’t the only major personality Jake Paul has hoped to box with, either; in fact, Paul has called out the likes of MMA fighter Dillon Danis, FaZe co-owner and content creator Ricky Banks, and even singer-songwriter Chris Brown – although nothing has yet to come of these challenges.
