Earthquakes are nothing to play around with and partnered streamer StaysafeTV experienced that first hand.

He was doing an IRL stream in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, on April 17 inside of a shopping center when he received an alert on his phone that indicated an earthquake was happening at that very moment.

The streamer was right in the middle of an earthquake

“What the fuck, Presidential Alerts,” StaySafeTV said. “What in the fuck is going on? This is a fuckin’ earthquake. Uhhh, ok, let’s get underneath this thing. Dude, Jesus Christ.

Despite the ongoing threat of an earthquake, he managed to remain unharmed and it looked like everyone in the surrounding area looked fine as well.

Surprisingly enough, it looked like the people around him continued to operate business as usual and appeared to be unphased by what was going on.

However, a total of 17 people were injured as a result of the earthquake, including two who were injured by falling rocks during the quake according to Reuters.

It was a magnitude 6.1 earthquake which means it was considered a ‘moderate’ quake and was .9 points away from falling into the ‘major’ category.

Crazy things happen in IRL streams often

While not many streams can top an actual earthquake occurring, there are some other surprising moments that have been captured on IRL streams.

One recent event that comes to mind is when streamer xQc was stream sniped during a stream in March by a fan who wanted a free sub.

This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to IRL streams but this is a taste of some of the things that have happened in the past.
