Valve’s ever-popular MOBA Dota 2 has been hit with another update, this time focusing on balance, as many fan-favorite heroes and items have seen changes.

Gameplay update 7.24b went live on Feb 26, with many of the most popular heroes and items receiving changes as the patch focuses mainly on nerfs.

Of course, in classic Dota 2 style, the changes are small adjustments with no massive buffs or nerfs. Regardless, this patch will definitely still shake things up, especially at the highest levels, as popular heroes like Batrider and Puck find themselves weakened.

Dota 2 is one of the most popular game’s out there.

Dota 2 update 7.24b: What’s changed?

To start off, some items have seen fairly significant changes. Most notably, Desolator’s armor reduction has been reduced from seven to six, while the damage has been increased from 50 to 60, making it less powerful as an armor-penetrating tool.

Meanwhile, Diffusal Blade’s mana burn has been reduced from 50 to 40 as many fans were complaining about how fast some heroes are able to completely wipe out Mana with it. Additionally, Maelstrom and Mjollnir have seen their iconic Chain Lightning effect nerfed as the bounce distance drops from 900 to 650.

When it comes to heroes, quite a few of the fan-favorites have seen nerfs. Batrider has had his Flamebreak burn duration reduced by different amounts per level, while Puck’s Waning Rift has seen a significant drop in cast range, from 350 to 275.

ValveSnapfire is another hero that has seen nerfs in Dota 2’s latest patch.

Saladar has been hit by the nerf bat the hardest as three of his skills have been changed. His Bash of the Deep damage has been reduced, the Guardian Sprint now costs 25 mana (up from 0), and his ultimate’s armor reduction has been decreased by 2 at all levels.

There are a ton more changes to heroes like Snapfire, Lifestealer, IO, and more which you can check out in the full patch notes below.
