Cosplay icon Jessica Nigri wowed Demon Slayer fans with her stunning take on Mitsuri Kanroji. The popular artist became the Love Pillar in a video that quickly went viral.

Demon Slayer shook up the anime industry with its explosive release in 2019. The breakout series gripped viewers with its dark story about a boy who sets out to avenge his family after they are massacred by evil.

World-renowned cosplay artist Jessica Nigri brought one of the strongest swordsmen in the series to life with her detailed costume. Her portrayal of Mitsuri had fans going wild.

Jessica Nigri becomes Demon Slayer’s Mitsuri

The series follows protagonist Tanjro Kamado and his demon-turned sister Nezuko as they journey to avenge their family. They eventually stumble upon the Demon Corps, which consists of the world deadliest fighters who kill evil.


Cosplay star Jessica Nigri transformed into the Love Pillar Mitsuri with her incredible outfit. In the photo, she holds the anime heroine’s iconic blue and pink hilted katana.

The popular artist pulled off the character’s look to perfection by capturing her iconic pink braided hair, which has a splash of green at the ends. Teaming up with photographer Martin Wong, it looks as if the Love Pillar stepped from out of the screen.

Nigri shared more photos of her costume on Instagram, and stuns with a faithful depiction of the Demon Slayer swordsman. In another shot, she re-creates a scene from the show as she stands under a sakura tree with her weapon by her side.

The cosplayer also uploaded a video of her portraying the character on February 25, where she twirls her umbrella while wearing a detailed floral pattern yukata. The post went viral, and at the time of writing has an astonishing 396k likes.

Fans have gone wild for her portrayal of the Love Pillar, such as user ‘ladyy_janee’ who exclaimed, “I could cry this is so amazing! You make a beautiful Mitsuri.” Another user ‘red_maiden’ agreed, and wanted her to do more characters from the show. “Please do all of the pillars!”

Demon Slayer fans were blown away by Nigri’s take on the Love Pillar.

Ever since Demon Slayer made its explosive debut in 2019, fans have been waiting on the edge of their seats for the sequel film Mugen Train, which is set to hit theaters sometime in 2020.
