Retired Call of Duty pro Raymond “Rambo” Lussier shared his thoughts on OpTic Gaming’s Austin ‘Pamaj’ Pamajewon’s chances at playing in the new 5v5 format.

The former CoD pro offered his opinion during a conversation on Twitter between Pamaj and FaZe Clan’s Thomas ‘ZooMaa’ Paparratto when ZooMaa was looking for someone to fill in during last weekend’s Black Ops 3 Throwback Tournament.

“With some mentoring on positioning in respawn, you could legit be a top threat on any team with 5v5,” Rambo said in the tweet.

With Blacks Op 4 departing from the usual 4v4 action that fans and players have become accustomed in favor of a new 5v5 format, many are expecting the meta to shake up as the players adapt to a new playstyle.

Rambo hints at one possible wrinkle in the form of a dedicated sniping role, as he’s “predicting  dedicated snipers in S&D with more people on the map.” Such a change could be a big one in terms of roster balance since players have operated in a more fluid system up to this point, with players not committing to singular roles in a given match.

Rambo wraps up the tweet by stating that he “sure as hell wouldn’t want to go up against [Pamaj] with a sniper in [his] hands.”

Despite being considered one of the best in Call of Duty with a sniper rifle, the OpTic Gaming YouTuber has always preferred content creation over actively competing.

However, that could change with this season’s new format, especially if teams are actively looking to pick up an accomplished player for a sniper role.
