Jordan ‘JKap’ Kaplan has taken to Twitter to vent his frustrations after Luminosity Gaming failed to make playoffs for Stage 2 of the CWL Pro League.
The two time Call of Duty World Champion has reached the playoff stage for all previous Call of Duty Pro Leagues and has come to expect it from himself and any team that he is playing for.
A 3-1 loss to eUnited on July 18 officially ended Luminosity’s chances of making it out of Division B in Stage 2 and JKap has now referred to the team’s regular season performance as “pathetic and embarrassing”.
Been in every CoD league since they started and haven’t missed playoffs until now. Absolutely pathetic and embarassing performance this stage

Luminosity lost Sam ‘Octane’ Larew to OpTic Gaming before Stage 2 began, but they gained Matthew ‘FormaL’ Piper in the exchange.
It was expected that a fierce rivalry between the two teams would be a feature for the rest of the Call of Duty: WWII season but, despite a promising third place finish at CWL Anaheim, Luminosity appears to be struggling with the new roster more than OpTic.

Meanwhile, OpTic Gaming currently sits on top of Division B with a record of 10-3. Rise Nation, eUnited, and UNILAD all hold records of 9-4 so the last day of matches on July 19 will decide the final seeding going into playoffs.
The last match for Luminosity will be against OpTic. Despite missing out on a playoff spot, JKap, John and SLACKED will be motivated to deny Octane the chance of finishing in first place, while FormaL will feel the same about his former teammates.
Apart from that, all focus for Luminosity will now be on the Call of Duty World Championship which takes place from August 15 – 19.
