Mark ‘MarkyB’ Bryceland has announced an update on his future within the competitive Call of Duty scene following a season of turbulent placings.

As one of the most well-recognized professional players within the European Call of Duty scene, MarkyB has played for some of the most well-recognized teams and organizations across the community.

A longtime member of squads such as Team Infused, Millenium, and TCM-Gaming, he rejoined Millenium to kick off the highly-anticipated Call of Duty: WWII season and the return to ‘boots on the ground.’

However, a collection of shaky placements saw him move to the likes of GGEA Purple and Team Vitality, although, was unable to put together a championship run, or qualify for the CWL Pro League.

On May 24th, MarkyB announced that he will be ‘stepping down’ from competition for the time being in order to focus on other ventures down the line, and will ‘re-evaluate’ the situation in October.

As of writing, it is unknown if MarkyB will take the route of fellow professional player Anthony ‘NAMELESS’ Wheeler and attempt to take media-related and analyst positions.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to launch on Friday, October 12th.
