DrDisrespect has told Treyarch and viewers on stream what he and other gamers want out of voice chat in Call of Duty Black Ops 4.

The big thing that the Doc wants to see in Black Ops 4 is proximity chat, which is the ability to freely communicate by voice with any player within a certain range in game.

Death chat was featured in the recent Blackout battle royale mode, but the streamer said he doesn’t want to see the dream of proximity chat forgotten about.

“Please please please lets maximize the potential of proximity chat, Let’s not overlook it Treyarch,” the Doc implored on stream.

The chat will probably need some fine tuning, like the area of proximity chat, how long players can talk for after they die, “We’re gonna work on those things, right?” Doc asked his stream.

There is always the possibility that players will abuse chat in some way, but Doc said that just comes with the territory.

“But Doc what if they’re like racist and do all that stuff? Well you get rid of them,” Doc told viewers. “Same thing as logo design and all that stuff: get rid of it, filter it out. That’s part of the process of having it inside the game.

The Blackout private beta ended on September 17 and received rave reviews from community members who got the chance to give it a try.

That included Dr. Disrespect, who spent a lot of time streaming the new battle royale mode, towards the end of the clip, the Doc has just one thing he wants to make clear, “I need proximity chat, I need it.”
