OpTic Gaming’s recruitment of Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell is the first time in years that they have picked up a player who hasn’t won a championship, but Crimsix explains why it is a good gamble.

In fact, not only has Dashy never won a championship, he has never even placed top 8 at a major event, something which Crimsix himself highlights.

But, Dashy’s recruitment to the biggest organization in Call of Duty comes off the back of years of impressive gameplay, albeit at the amateur level.

Like most amateur players, Dashy spent most of his time playing Search and Destroy, a staple game mode which is easily the best way to become known within the community.

After being noticed by other prominent SnD players during the Black Ops III season, Dashy quickly become known as one of the smartest SnD minds, paired with incredible gun skill.

Crimsix believes that Dashy is “going to be the next FormaL”, in terms of pacing and accuracy, but says “the main thing with these players, is that they are SnD gods.”

He explains that while he and Seth ‘Scump’ Abner will lead the roster in respawn modes, they will hand the reigns over to Dashy and other new recruit Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly, when it comes to SnD.

Of course, the team also has the three time world champion in Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow making his return to the roster, so there is no shortage of experience and expertise on the lineup.

Dashy may not have won an event, or even got top eight before, but most fans will expect that to change very soon now that he is part of this OpTic squad.
