New OpTic Gaming Call of Duty pro player Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell has revealed the in-game roles he predicts he and his teammates will have in the upcoming Black Ops 4 competitive season.

In a reply to a question posed to him during during his live-stream, Dashy predicted that he will play the main AR role while Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly will very likely be the main SMG players on the squad.

That would leave Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter and Damon ‘Karma’ Barlow, who Dashy believes will play the Flex role on the squad.

The Flex role is reserved for players who can play with both AR and SMG weapons, and they switch between the two based on the map, game-type, and opposing team.

“Scump and Teej are most likely subs. I’m probably going to be main AR. Ian and Damon are going to flip flop at the Flex role, whatever,” he explained. “Depending on what the game is, if it’s three subs or four subs. No one knows yet.”

It appears as though the team will wait to try out Black Ops 4, and its new competitive format, before deciding on finalized roles for the team.

Even then, teams often make changes during the season based on their performances, both individual and collective. OpTic did this several times during the WWII season, as Crimsix and FormaL swapped their AR and SMG roles between each other.

The addition of Dashy and TJHaLy to the OpTic CoD team was officially announced on September 27, finalizing their transfers from Rise Nation and compLexity Gaming respectively.

Karma rejoins the roster after spending the better part of the last three years competing for OpTic, before stepping away from the competitive scene halfway during WWII.
